It all started when…

Father and daughter team put their heads together with one mission in mind after the business they worked for closed down - to keep and expand the beautiful world of manga within Reading!

Established in their home town, December 2007, they were formerly based in a shop unit at 97 London Street. Sadly the shop had to close in August 2011 where they took to online platforms, continuing their services of providing manga and other related products to customer old and new. With a reliable and efficient process in place, and products sourced from the USA, they focused on a “to your door” basis whether by mail or hand delivery. They maintain a database of the series customers are reading and are in regular contact by e-mail, advising of forthcoming releases and any other updates.

Red Garden Manga was also institutional in forming the Red Garden Artist Group, a locally based group of artists working in the manga art style and enabled the group to attend conventions such as the ever popular London MCM Expo and has supported a number of self-published comics.

Over 10 years later, they’re still going strong despite the many challenges and achievements they’ve seen! From having their own physical shop that’s ceiling partially collapsed on Christmas Eve, 6 staff members, loyalty cards, attending conventions across the UK, producing their own calendar, raising money for victims of the Japanese Tsunami, having their very own poster girl Scarlett and starting up the artist group just to name a few.

We would like to welcome (and thank) all the old faces and new in supporting us in our continued journey to be recognised as one of the foremost suppliers in the South East of this wonderful subject matter called manga.
